In the past few days, the general director of the National Water Commission (Conagua), Roberto Ramírez de la Parra, opened the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Hermosillo, Sonora, thus converting the entity into one of the 5 cities in the country that treat all of its wastewater.
This work generated important benefits to the state, among which we can mention the promotion of the agricultural sector and the reduction of risks to the health of the community. The WWTP is part of the Program for the Best Use and Distribution of Water, which seeks to ensure the supply of all users and reach the water balance in the state of Sonora.
On the other hand, Governor Claudia Pavlovich said that with the help of this type of project, Sonora is moving towards consolidation as one of the entities with the most economic growth, and water, of course, is a fundamental part of it.
